Plan and Conserve profiles 42 projects that PAI was able to document that combined family planning and reproductive health services with natural resource conservation to improve access to family planning services. Project profiles span the globe including Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East, and include NGOs such as World Neighbors, CARE and CEMOPLAF in Guatemala and Ecuador. The publication also highlights the concept of community-based population and environment projects (CBPE), which refer to the linkage of services that combine natural resource conservation or other environmental work with the provision of reproductive health services, including family planning. In addition, the document details observations and conclusions from PAI’s research, project visits, interviews and other data collection.
